Artist of the Month

Chela Lujan grew up tucked between her mother and father and the canvas lining of the tipi listening to the sound of a water drum and gourd, and prayers from mouths of relatives pouring medicine into a sacred fire. 

Elaine derives inspiration from her past life experiences and infuses them into her artwork as there is inspiration all around her.

Ginna A. Pollock was born in Colombia and inspired from an early age by the colorful shops and surroundings there.

Maria Elena creates her intricate jewelry pieces using a technique called Micro Macrame.

Most of the images Alan has captured were taken in Pueblo and Fremont Counties, Colorado.

Thomas 'Tom' Carrigan started painting seriously in the 80's and has been featured in galleries in Pueblo and Denver.

Ann Nix became fascinated with jewelry-making when the Arts Center hosted a Steampunk exhibition back in 2014. She also holds an interest in watercolor painting and mixed media. 

Deb Bartos is an award-winning painter who works mostly in water-soluble oils. She enjoys painting on location as light and nature are her muses.

Patrick brings a wide variety of influences to his work, perhaps none more so than the traditional Japanese woodblock art form, Ukiyo-e.

Joseph Kronwitter is a self-taught, fine craft woodworker & furniture maker in Pueblo.

Catherine Orr aka K8E ORR has been a dedicated community artist in Colorado Springs & Manitou Springs for the last 15 years.

Jennifer Hanson believes that art is bigger than one person and that we connect when we use and enjoy things that other artists have made.  

Robert Wands was raised in the home of his artist father, Alfred Wands.
