Position Title: Graphic and Marketing Liaison
Department: Marketing

Status: Full-time, 40-45 hours per week (*Position becomes permanent after 90 day probationary/interim period)
:Schedule: 5 days a week, some evenings and weekends during events
Pay Range: $19/HR
JOB DUTIES
DESIGN SERVICE:
- Develop graphics and layouts for promotional materials, publications, and web graphics
- Work with a wide range of media and use graphic design software such as Photoshop, lnDesign, and Illustrator, video software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc. Online software such as Canva to assist other departments, etc.
- Mark up, assemble, and package final layouts for printer
- Maintain archive of images, photos, or previous work products
- Generate the design "brief' to determine requirements and project needs
- Determine and edit necessary copy for artwork
- Prepare rough drafts, present your ideas, and discuss them with clients or supervisors to make necessary changes
- Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts
- Work closely with other colleagues involved in projects
- Assist in creating press kits for print and electronic media
- Duties as assigned
MARKETING DUTIES / SOCIAL MEDIA / PRESS RELEASES:
- Brand management and positive brand value
- Assisting in overseeing outside vendors / agencies providing ads and graphics.
- Monitoring and managing social media; Managing Facebook and Instagram for Arts Center. Overlook and manage Buell Children’s Museum and School of Dance social media, providing brand consistency as they start posting for their own departments.
- Uploading Press Releases on website from each department, providing event info and press release to journalists, etc.
- Duties as assigned
DESIGN DUTIES/REQUIREMENTS:
- Convey a professional and courteous manner in dealing with all customer relations
- Maintain supplies, mailing labels, and other items needed for events
- Participate in Arts Center events, including working events like Festival Fridays, Anniversary Gala, Art Walks, etc.
- Work as a team to develop new strategies to make the Marketing Department run effectively
- Be aware of the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center emergency plan
- Duties as assigned
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Expert knowledge of Adobe CC Products
- Photoshop, Illustrator and lnDesign required. Familiar with Bridge and CC Libraries, Premiere Pro+, After Effects+
- Strong knowledge in the following:
- Branding for Sangre de Cristo Arts Center campus, events, and exhibitions
- Layout and editorial
- Advertising for print and web including social media
- Large format banners and signage
- Posters, flyers, brochures, and other promo collateral
- Invitations and postcards
- Pre-press production
- Photography +
- Motion graphics, video editing and production +
- Branding for Sangre de Cristo Arts Center campus, events, and exhibitions
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Works well with in a team environment
- Detail-oriented, punctual, and reliable
- Bachelors required. Equivalent working experience is a plus.
- Possession of creative flair, flexibility, conceptual/visual ability and originality
- Demonstrate strong graphic design and typography skills with portfolio
- Ability to interact, communicate and present ideas effectively
- Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines
- Able to pay attention to detail and balance work on several projects at a time
- Ability to multi-task and shift quickly between a variety of projects
- Pre-press production knowledge is crucial
- Report to Graphic and Multimedia Lead
- Able to meet requests and needs from the CEO and supervisor
Preferred:
- 4+ years of graphic designing experience
- Knows and understands the importance of branding and strictly follow the branding style of Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center Buell Children’s Museum, and School of Dance.
- Ability to conceptualize a brand for a variety of events and exhibitions
- Ability to design for children
- Ability to become familiar with vinyl and vinyl wraps

Art Instructors
The Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center is excited to announce the return of art classes! With the great diversity and quality of local talent, the Arts Center welcomes anyone interested in teaching one or more arts classes with us. We are actively looking for painting and drawing instructors and welcome a variety of other mediums!
We are also actively seeking instructors to teach watercolor and/or painting courses for our youth programming for Friday Arts Academy! If you are interested in teach one of these mediums, or any other medium, please reach out to us!

Art Workshops for School Groups and Field Trips
We are now offering Art Workshops in Clay and Printmaking! Our workshops have been developed to meet the Colorado State Standards for Visual Arts. A typical workshop is structured for a total visit time of 2-hours; 1.5 hours of instruction time and up to 15 minutes for groups to arrive to our upstairs studios, receive their welcome and project instructions, and for cleanup time at the end.
Workshops are currently priced for school groups at a rate of $100 plus $7 per student. We can accommodate up to 20 students per workshop.

Peer Mentor Program
We are launching a new volunteer program geared toward High School students! This program will offer opportunities for participants to earn volunteer hours, to learn valuable skills and experience while assisting instructors in our youth art classes, and to be able to attend educational opportunities such as panel talks and seminars about careers in the arts, and students’ other learning goals and interests. This program will also aim to develop a youth arts community where students can develop leadership skills, have meaningful discussions with each other, learn from one another, and have regular socializing opportunities. Note that all volunteers, instructors, and staff are subject to completing a successful background check. After completing your application, please also complete the attached Background Check Authorization Form and provide a color copy of your valid driver's license to us. You are welcome to provide those to us via email to cayla@sdc-arts.org or you can bring them to us in-person at the Museum's Welcome Center.

Friday Arts Academy Scholarship
Friday Arts Academy is our child and youth arts program which serves students from Kindergarten through 12th Grade. We welcome all students and seek to provide access for everyone. We offer scholarships to as many students as possible each semester.

The Arts Center Associates
The purpose of this organization will be to create a community-wide interest in the local area to support the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center by promoting educational activities, events, and services related to the fine arts and humanities. The Arts Center Associates meet the 3rd Tuesday of the Month, September through May.
Policies:
The policies and activities of this organization may in no instance conflict with the stated purpose of its parent organization, the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center, and shall be ultimately responsible to the Arts Center Executive Board.
Membership and Dues:
Membership: The membership shall consist of those persons who are members in good standing of the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center, and who are willing to devote a portion of their time in the furtherance of the purposes of this organization.
Dues: The annual dues of this Organization shall be twenty (20) dollars per year made payable to the Treasurer of this Organization. Dues shall be paid in January and annually thereafter.
Privileges of Membership:
Any member in good standing shall have the right to vote, participated in meetings, and to hold office in this Organization.
