Performance Partnership Program
What We Are Looking For
The Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center is looking for creative performers, producers, and educators in the performing arts to partner with our team to put amazing things on our fantastic stage. The idea is to work with Southern Colorado’s robust performing arts community to make use of our beautiful theater without incurring the large cost of renting out a venue.
The Sangre de Cristo Arts Center’s programming team will review each application and select those that seem to fit the sort of things we believe our audiences will be excited to attend. Those selected will be invited to an in-person meeting for final review before official acceptance.
Those chosen would not only have access to the Sangre de Cristo Theater for rehearsals and performances, but they would also be provided with basic technical design support, marketing support, box office and ticketing support along with guidance as needed.
This endeavor incentivizes both groups to do as much promotion as possible.
What We Provide
Each project will be provided with:
- Rehearsal time (amount determined based on timeline, need, and availability of venue.)
- Technical team to assist with lighting, sound, and other technical needs.
- Box Office Support (ticket posting, printing, box office staff)
- Marketing distribution includes features in our newsletter, social media posts, digital representation on our outdoor marquee, fliers/posters etc. (It is highly encouraged that you have a marketing plan in place to ensure audience attendance.)
- Performance space in the Arts Center Theater with a 498 seat capacity, The El Pomar Magic Carpet children’s theater with a 50 person capacity, or one of our other spaces. (Venue will be determined based on the needs and goals of each project accepted.)
All of this and more is free of charge!
What You Provide
- Your show (complete with a producing schedule and plan)
- Descriptions of the show to use in marketing material
- Your team, including cast, crew, directors, musicians etc.
- Any specific desired graphic design
- Stage manager or other backstage crew
All of this and more is free of charge!
What We Share
- The Arts Center and the performing partner will split the sales of each ticket sold. Ticket prices can be determined together with input from the Arts Center’s data reflecting what the market will bear.
- The Arts Center will provide concession/bar sales and staff for each performance and keep 100% of proceeds.
- The performing partner may set up any additional sales table for merchandise, not including concessions items, and keep 100% of proceeds.
- Both teams will participate in marketing and promotional efforts.
