October Artist of the Month

Catherine Orr aka K8E ORR has been a dedicated community artist in Colorado Springs & Manitou Springs for the last 15 years. Starting very early on at only three days old, she attended her first powwow with her parents who were very involved in the Indigenous American art scene. She tagged along with them and her older brother running a shop in Crested Butte, doing trade shows and winning various awards across the USA. Her brother called her "Jibwa" when she was a young girl; an endearing name that has followed her into her adulthood. You can visit K8E at Jibwa Studio in Manitou Springs at the Manitou Art Center where she is a leader in the artistic population and hopes to change arts and minds with her work.
