Earth Day 2023

Community Access Day is a Free Day

Community Access Day is a FREE DAY at the Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center, for guests to roam the Buell Children's Museum along with the fine arts galleries in the Helen Thatcher White building.

Blooms at the Buell

You are invited to the second annual Blooms at the Buell event! Celebrate a special lady in your life by painting a flower pot in Artrageous and choosing a flower from our pop-up Flower Shop. Not only is this event celebrating the special women in our lives, but it will also be the final hurrah for our spring exhibit, “What’s the Buzz? The Life of the Honey Bee”.

We will also feature a garden talk by local beekeepers at Boley’s Bee Haven. Come Celebrate the beauty of spring at the Buell Children’s Museum!

4-H Bee Talk

Returning to the Magic Carpet Theater stage is Logan Thielbar, local 4-H student, to give his second presentation about honey bees. This half-hour lecture will provide our guests with lots of fun facts about the honey bee that are also present throughout our spring exhibit.

Puebloween

Celebrate National Cat Day with us as we feature the black cats of society!

In honor of black cats everywhere, we are introducing a Puebloween special event, "The Calling of the Protectors: A Ghost in the Alley" play!

Written by local author and playwright Louis Paul DeGrado, in this show, we meet Mouse, the tiny but brave kitten, and her group of furry friends as they prepare to go out on Halloween night. Will they make it to the house at the end of the street for trick-or-treating...?
