Friday Arts Academy
Friday Arts Academy is our child and youth program which offers a variety of fine arts classes, performing arts classes, and more to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade (K-12). Our course offerings this season include classes such as watercolor painting, drawing, sculpting, and more!
Our classes are perfect for helping to develop valuable skills such as improving fine motor development, enhancing self-esteem, and increasing academic success.
For help enrolling in classes by phone, please call Guest Services at (719) 295-7200 or stop by the museum's front desk for assistance in-person.

Please note that this year, classes are held in the Helen Thatcher White galleries building, located to the right of the Buell Children's Museum. Student check-in and pick-up will be located in the 3rd floor boardroom. Our front desk staff can assist with directions.
Directions: When arriving to the museum, if you choose to park in the museum's main parking lot, you will use either the sidewalk/ramp to the right or the stairs to enter the galleries building. Once inside, you can utilize the elevators or stairs to reach the meeting place on the museum's 3rd floor. We will have signage and staff on-site to assist with directions. Parents/guardians are required to sign-in and sign-out students. Students will only be released to adults indicated in their registration. For unforeseen/last minute pick-up changes, please call 719-295-7200. Drop off and pick up are located in the Board Room (through the entrance of the Helen Thatcher White Building – third level).
Students may be dropped off no more than 15 minutes before class and no later than 15 minutes after their last class. Students are allowed to bring snacks and drinks.
