Phil Brown enjoys capturing a moment in time that the rest of us may have even missed while watching the event. His passion is about the moments that cannot be controlled or prepared for in a traditional sense. There can be some planning, like knowing about the coming of a solar eclipse and organizing one’s time off from work and budgeting to take a trip to the right part of our continent for the best perspective of the awe-inspiring event. A little bit of planning is okay, but Brown does not want his subjects to pose. He wants to witness the fabulous event and then he takes thousands of photographs in hopes of capturing the magical crux of the moment.
