Our global network collaborates year-round to inspire generosity around the world, with a common mission to build a world where generosity is part of everyday life. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give.
Founded in 2012, it encourages individuals, organizations, and communities to come together and give back to causes and nonprofits they care about. Giving Tuesday serves as a counterpoint to the consumer-focused shopping events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, highlighting the importance of generosity and social responsibility during the holiday season. It has gained significant traction worldwide, fostering a culture of charitable giving, volunteerism, and support for a wide range of charitable organizations, making a positive impact on communities and causes across the globe.
