The Art Around Us
October 19, 2024 to November 19, 2024
2nd Floor Foyer Gallery
“The Artists Around Us” is an exhibit designed to ignite inspiration and curiosity in young minds. This captivating showcase spans various fields such as graphic design, architecture, and furniture design, highlighting real-world STEAM career opportunities. By presenting art that surrounds us daily—often overlooked as traditional art—the exhibit encourages youth to explore these creative career paths.
The exhibit also serves as a bridge between generations. Elders can use it to explain to young viewers how their academic studies relate to both K-12 education and post-high-school career paths. Architectural concepts demonstrate the harmony between functionality and aesthetics, while landscaping highlights the balance between infrastructure and well-being. The field prosthetics has become very important in modern society and requires both scientific and aesthetic input for functional design.
Overall, “The Artists Around Us” reflects the convergence of STEAM principles across disciplines, broadening horizons and fostering critical thinking. Our goal is to inspire youth to envision careers that blend creativity, science, and heart, encouraging them to see the world through a lens of innovation and possibility.
