In the Hoag Gallery

Eric McCue, is a contemporary sculptor and painter, focusing mainly on large whimsical public sculptures and interactive displays. He holds degrees in Art Education and Psychology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and Associate of Arts in Welding from Pikes Peak Community College.  McCue’s work has been displayed at Arvada Art Center, and participates in many sculpture on loan programs throughout the Rocky Mountain Region, Southwest US, and locally throughout the Pueblo area. He was chosen to create the center piece, a 14-foot-tall sculpture of the Vitruvian Man, for the Leonardo da Vinci Museum of North America.

Normally he focuses on monumental and colorful sculptures that he welds and paints in his studio, Iron E Art and Fabrication in Pueblo Colorado.  Known for his larger-than-life bugs, blades of grass, and vibrant abstract sculptures with high level of craftsmanship, he continues to create pieces for all viewers to enjoy no matter what level of art appreciation they have.
