A Pueblo Holiday tradition, the “Own Your Own” Art Sale and Holiday Exhibition, celebrates its 63rd anniversary.
The “Own Your Own” exhibit, hosted at Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center welcomes novices and seasoned artists alike to submit their pieces to sell at affordable prices.
Manager of Collections and Curation, Karen Foglesong said, “It is important to support each other by buying locally. And lucky for us, Pueblo is packed full of really talented creatives, so it is easy to do.
“Own Your Own” Art Sale and Holiday Exhibition was originally started at University of Southern Colorado, now Colorado State University-Pueblo (CSUP) by Ed Sajbel as a fundraiser for art student scholarships. The exhibit since then has been taken up by Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center and has become a Pueblo holiday tradition.
This is the only art exhibit that Sangre de Cristo hosts where you can buy and bring home your art piece on the same day. It’s the perfect opportunity to buy gifts for the holiday season.
The OYO exhibit will be in the Hoag & Regional Galleries this year. Contributing artists and members will get a sneak preview on November 29th, the gallery opens officially on Dec 2nd and will participate with First Friday on Dec 5th. Our Purple Friday sale runs from Dec 27th to Jan3rd – offering a further 20% discount on our already super low holiday pricing. The sale continues until January 3, 2026. We hope to see you there!
