Original Female-Led Rock Musical Honey and Ruin Takes the Stage in Pueblo This September
For Immediate Release
PUEBLO, Colo. — Three local women are turning their passion for music and theater into a powerful new production this September. Written and produced by a female-led production company, Honey and Ruin is an original rock musical set in the 1970s and 1980s that follows three women who were once on the path to something bigger.
They each had a voice, a future. And then each of them lost it.
Blacklisted. Burnt out. Written off.
When fate brings them together in a dive bar, something unexpected happens. They hear each other. And for the first time in a long time, they’re not alone.
They take a chance and form a band. What starts as a spark becomes something louder, messier, and more powerful than any of them expected. But building something new means facing everything they left behind.
This is a story about resilience, identity, and what it means to take your voice back.
Featuring a live rock band and a cast of talented professional performers, the production will take the stage September 4–5 at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center in Pueblo. In addition to celebrating women, music, and resilience, I Said What I Said Productions is committed to giving back, with no less than 10% of ticket sales benefiting TESSA.
This original production highlights local artistic talent while telling a story of friendship, perseverance, and second chances.
