Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month: “Legacies of Courage” Awardees to be Featured at El Pueblo History Museum and Sangre de Cristo Arts Center
[Pueblo,CO]— In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the El Pueblo History Museum and the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center have partnered with the Pueblo Latino Veterans Association to present a special exhibition showcasing the inspiring stories and portraits of the “Legacies of Courage” Awardees. This collaborative project highlights the remarkable contributions and enduring legacies of Latino Veterans who have demonstrated service to our country, cultural, social, and historical landscape of our community.
The exhibition will feature a stunning collection of photographs accompanied by detailed biographies, offering visitors a unique opportunity to connect with the personal journeys and courageous achievements of Pueblo Latino veterans. From educators and activists to artists and entrepreneurs, the “Legacies of Courage” Awardees embody the spirit, resilience, and vibrant heritage that enrich our region.

Both museum venues will offer free public access during regular hours, encouraging community members, students, and visitors to engage deeply with the narratives that celebrate Hispanic heritage, courage, and service to others.
“This exhibition is a tribute to the power of our Latino veterans and the extraordinary impact of courageous individuals within our community,” said Dianne Archuleta, History Museum Director. “By sharing these stories, we aim to inspire future generations and foster greater appreciation of service to others and the rich cultural fabric that defines our region.”
Sangre de Cristo CEO Andy Sánchez says, “Being a part of the Latino Legacies of Courage awards and exhibition is an honor for us at the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center. We are excited for the opening of the exhibition

**About the Legacies of Courage Award:**
The Legacies of Courage Award honors Pueblo Latino Veterans who have demonstrated exceptional courage and service to our country, demonstrated leadership in our community, service to church, family and other veterans. Recipients are selected for their courage in the military and the ways in which they have selflessly served others.
