What are In-Kind Donations?
An in-kind contribution refers to non-monetary donations, encompassing services or goods offered without direct financial exchange. For instance, when individuals volunteer their digital marketing expertise to a nonprofit or donate artworks or computer equipment, they are making in-kind contributions. These donations, although not involving cash, can still be evaluated for their monetary worth, which is sometimes recorded for tax purposes, though not all forms of in-kind contributions are quantifiable in monetary terms.
Opportunities exist for individuals, businesses, churches, organizations, foundations, and more. Contributions toward projects, classes, and other needs always are appreciated. If you would like to donate toward a specific event or item, please contact Karen Vigil, 719-295- 7200, ext. 7213 or email her at karen@sdc-arts.org, for an appointment to see what guidance we need for these circumstances. For any art related donations, please contact Karen Foglesong, 719-295-7200, ext. 7218 or email her at karenf@sdc-arts.org. Thank you for considering a gift to the Arts Center!
