This tasting will feature sake and soju, two alcoholic beverages popular in Japan, paired with some traditional Japanese sweets. The tasting will take place in the 3rd floor gallery of the Helen Thatcher White Galleries in the current exhibit Myriads of Gods. In addition to touring the photography of Nobuyuki Kobayashi and Masato Okazaki, we will really get into the spirit of October with a special one-night showing of Japanese prints illustrating Yōkai (literally “Strange Apparition”) and a presentation on these fascinating spirits that range from cute to terrifying.
Tickets include sake and soju tasting, additional drinks will be available for purchase.
