Character Lab
9:00am-10:00am
$11
Curriculum Level: Kindergarten - 4th Grade
Instructor: Noah Segura
In this class students will learn basic drawing fundamentals to design and create their own characters while learning how to make their drawings reflect those characters' personalities. The goal of this class is to allow students to develop new tools and methods to express themselves, as well as to develop a keen eye for details in their work. Materials used in this class will include pencil, ink, and watercolor which are great mediums for emerging artists and are very forgiving of mistakes. These mediums allow students more freedom to experiment with their ideas by getting them on the page without worrying about "ruining" them.
This class is geared towards younger children (ages 6-10) and is beginner friendly.
Class topics may include ideas such as:
- Shape language and how to break down your drawings
- Color theory
- Creativity exercises such as 30 second sketches, exquisite corpse, etc.
