Art Expression for Veterans, Military, and Their Families

Location: Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center in the 2nd Floor Art Studio
Art Expression is a class in creative exploration that is designed to help develop self-awareness, explore emotions in a safe and healthy environment, and provide a positive and therapeutic experience in a safe and welcoming environment.
Discover how the power of artistic expression can unlock healing and peace. No experience necessary! Veterans, military, and family members ages 18 and up are welcome to attend.

Please note that by enrolling in this class, you understand that the Arts Center's staff and/or Photographer-in-Residence may stop by to photograph the class for educational, marketing, and promotion purposes. By enrolling in this class you understand that if you wish to not be included in photographs, you are asked to alert your instructor and/or the Arts Center of your wishes and your wishes will be respected. A full copy of the Arts Center's Photo Release Policy can be provided anytime upon request and will also be provided in the classroom. Please let us know if you have any concerns.

Liability Release
All enrolled Participants, Students, and/or Parents/Guardians recognize and understand that any new endeavor presents a potential risk. I/we hereby agree to indemnify the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center and the Buell Children’s Museum, its instructors, officers, directors, agents, and employees from any liability resulting from any injury that may occur to the participant while attending or visiting the Sangre de Cristo Arts & Conference Center’s Clay Studio.
Behavior
All participants are responsible for exhibiting respectful, kind behavior on campus. Participants will be held accountable for their behavior and any property damage. Inappropriate behavior from any participant will not be tolerated and may result in their removal from the studio without a refund. Examples of behavior that will result in removal from studio spaces include but are not limited to:
- Violating the Studio Rules
- Disregarding requests and/or safety instructions given by Studio Manager
- Climbing/ striking/ defacing the campus sculptures and interactive art pieces
- Use of inappropriate language while on campus
- Running/ screaming/ roughhousing while inside the museum
- Bringing drugs, alcohol, firearms/ weaponry, or toys that mimic their appearance
- Hitting/biting/causing harm to instructors, staff, or other participants in Arts Center programs
