Creative Writing: Writer's Group
$75 for 4 x 2-hour Sessions
Tuesdays | Beginning Jan. 16, 2023 | 5:30 PM - 7:30PM
This series will go through the basic craft elements necessary to create a compelling story (fiction or nonfiction) from setting to dialogue, tension to resolution. Writers can take these building blocks of craft to develop engaging stories! Each week we will discuss 1-2 topics for crafting a creative fiction or nonfiction story with a mix of lecture and writing prompts. Topics will include tension, character, dialogue, and publishing among others. Participants are encouraged to share their writing with the group and will learn how to give and receive helpful feedback. This course is suitable for experienced writers or those brand new to the page, no prior writing is necessary as we will be generating work together!
We accept sign-ups every month. The writer's group meets weekly on Tuesday evenings and the price is $75 each month. Months with more or less than 4 weeks each will be prorated to allow for paying for the exact number of weeks you are meeting for. Classes are set to be $18.75 per session.
