Group Tour Request

For the best possible experience of our offerings, book a tour for your group at the Sangre de Cristo Arts Center!  

Did you know that we are offering private tours for groups of 4-9 people? Admission is $10 per person ($5 for members) with the option to add a donation at the end of the tour. To set up your tour, call (719) 295-7200 ext 7208 today.  Guided tour participants still abide by the safety protocols of the campus.

Workshops and performances are available for an additional fee.

Please note, for a quality experience for all we require 1 chaperone per 7 youths (~ kindergarten – sixth grade)

*We offer a limited number of tours on Saturdays and Sundays.  We encourage early childhood groups (PreK-1st grade) to schedule tours on Wednesdays for expanded opportunities geared toward our youngest visitors, but other days also are available.

Please note that we are closed on major holidays (New Year’s Day, July 4th, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas).  Also, there are a few weeks scattered throughout the year in which one or more galleries and/or the Buell Children’s Museum are closed to change exhibitions. 

Most morning tours begin between 9:15 am and 10:00 am and afternoon tours generally begin between 12:30 pm and 1:00 pm. A common youth tour is 2 hours long with 40 minutes scheduled in the Helen T. White Galleries and 40 minutes on each floor of the Buell Children’s Museum. Variables include size/age of group, activities (workshops/performances), and special needs.  Exact times can be determined during the planning prior to final scheduling and confirmation.

The Helen T. White Galleries and the Buell Children’s Museum are included in the paid admission. The 2-hour time allotted for a group visit can be adjusted depending on age and focus of group. Generally, elementary groups visit up to 40 minutes on each floor of the Buell Children’s Museum and 40 in the Helen T. White Galleries. Older groups may desire more time in the Helen T. White Galleries and only 20 minutes on each floor of the Buell. The exhibitions are designed to work together and provide a wide range of interactive art discoveries and explorations.  If you ‘deselect” either of these two, please include in the “Comments” section your focus for the group.
