ABOUT THE SANGRE DE CRISTO BALLET
The Sangre de Cristo Ballet is a company housed within the Sangre de Cristo School of Dance comprised of students and guests who make the commitment to study all facets of dance and dance performance. Principal and corps de ballet roles are danced by School of Dance students who must learn to successfully manage their demanding class, rehearsal, and performance schedule through the use of time-management skills that cultivate exceptional levels of focus, discipline, emotional intelligence, and self-awareness.
The Sangre de Cristo Ballet is most known for it's performances. Most notably, our annual Nutcracker production is performed by the Sangre de Cristo Ballet and is open to almost all School of Dance students, and is always very popular with audiences. The Sangre de Cristo Ballet also hosts an annual spring production of either a classical or contemporary work of dance performance (sometimes a combination of both). Previous spring performances have included Swan Lake, Romeo and Juliet, Carmen, and our 2019 production of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
