The Young at Art Afterschool program begins January 22!
Each Friday afternoon, kids can enjoy 3 different classes between 1:30 and 5:00. Actual classes start at 2:00 pm, but kids are given a nutritio
us snack before then to refuel for the afternoon.
Each student can select three of the following classes:
DANCE, MOVEMENT & THEATER (Drama & Stage Dance-Tammie Stevens,
Zumba Fitness-Tiffany Harding)
STAGE DANCE & MOVEMENT (for theater productions)
DRAMA (1st- 2nd grade-acting, stage directions, performance)
DRAMA (3rd-6th grade-acting, stage directions, performance)
ZUMBA FITNESS (dance fitness to Latin music)
MUSIC (Guitar-Ed Hill, Percussion-C.J. Sturm, Choir-Joe Mascotti)
GUITAR I (1st-2nd grades)
GUITAR II (3rd-6th grades)
CHOIR (singing and music)
PERCUSSION (drumming/rhythm)
ART (Visual Art-Deanna Aragon, Clay-Kate and Shane Jarrett, Arts Center
Potters-in-Residence)
VISUAL ARTS (drawing, painting, sculpture, collage)
_HAND BUILDING WITH CLAY (1st-6th grade)
WHEEL THROWING IN CLAY (4th-6th grade)
All Young at Art instructors are certified, licensed teachers or professional, practicing artists.
