Cruise through classic cars, jam to old rock-and-roll favorites and more this summer at the Arts Center. The Buell Children's Museum is celebrating a Happy 10 and your invited to a huge birthday bash all summer long. Build bridges, swim with jellyfish, create magical fairy lands and discover the power of 10! These tours are just the ticket for encouraging critical thinking skills in a fun environment.
WORKSHOPS
Add a workshop in theater, clay, painting, weaving, zumba fitness, painting reenactment, writing, dance and more! Workshops can be tailored to meet your group’s needs and are all lead by artists.

BOOKING YOUR TOUR
Hours
The museum is open for groups: Tuesday thru Saturday, 9:30 am – 4 pm. Tours are arranged at 9:30 and 11:30 am. Other times can also be scheduled.
Reservations
Schedule a field trip at your convenience by emailing Diane Pirraglia at dianep@sdc-arts.org or calling 719-583-6217. Reservations will be accepted two weeks prior to your visit, however, we recommend scheduling your school at least one month in advance. Be prepared to give us the planned date and time(s) of your tour, number of students, grade level(s), teacher name(s), phone number(s) and e-mail address(es). If you need to cancel your visit please let us know at least two days prior to your visit. In the event that a school does not meet that requirement, a bill for the total tour will be sent.
Group Admissions
Children and adults are $2.00 a person for a tour. One adult is required for every ten students. Pueblo City Schools and District 70 have pre-paid the admission fees. Members of the Art Center will be charged the tour rate.
Check in
Your reservation should be made for the maximum number of students and adults expected. Actual attendance will be noted upon arrival, and your fee will be charged accordingly. Tours will check in at the Buell Children’s Museum to begin the tour. Buses can use the roundabout to drop off students and can park in the main parking lot.
Payment
Payment is required at the Buell front desk for the number of people reported in your group. You may pay on the day of the tour or be billed. We accept check, credit card, purchase orders or cash. Please make checks payable to the Buell Children’s Museum. Lunch payments must be paid separately to Solar Roast in the Kid Rock.
Lunch Options
Currently Solar Roast is the food provider in the Kid Rock Café. Kid’s lunches including drink are available for $4 for students and $5 for adults. We can get you a tour menu to explain options. Tours can also reserve a space and bring sack lunches.

Tour Options
Tours are tailored to the needs and age of each group. Tours can include the Buell Children’s Museum, the Fine Arts Galleries, and/or the Theater. For an additional amount, we can add a workshop with professional teachers and/or artists. Workshops with no materials are $3.00, for example: dance, theater, music and movement. $4.00 workshops are any art classes that include materials, for example: painting, sculpture, weaving, drawing, etc. Clay workshops with a firing is $5.00. We can even design workshops to meet your needs, such as the clay paint pigmentation designed for a science class for $6.50.

Limited tours and/or workshops may be scheduled during these live theater/ballet performances. It will be a condensed tour because of the vast numbers of students involved.
